Noreen began Irish dancing at the age of 5 with the beloved Healy Irish Dancers. During her time as a competitor, Noreen brought home 7 Western Regional titles, routinely placed top 10 at the North American Championship, and enjoyed recalling at the World Championships in Ireland.

In 1995, Noreen earned her TCRG and opened the Boyle School of Irish Dancing with her sister Mary Ann. Noreen and her sister produced regional, national, and world champions in both solo and team competitions.

After a short break to raise her family, Noreen returned to teaching at Dillon Magh Adahair Academy. Noreen, yet again, enjoyed the amazing world of Irish dance, capturing various titles on the local and world stages.

During the pandemic, Noreen and Mary Ann returned to their roots and opened The Boyle Irish Dance Academy. Noreen celebrated 30 years of teaching in 2025.

Mary Ann started Irish dancing in San Francisco at the age of 7 under the tutelage of Ann Healy. She has performed in many events throughout the Bay Area, and has competed in local Feiseanna, Oireachtais, Nationals, and the World Championships winning many awards throughout the years.

After 18 years of dancing, Mary Ann retired and then pursued her career in nursing where she earned her BSN and MSN degrees. She has worked for 38 years as a staff nurse, manager, head nurse, and supervisor. She has since retired from working in the ICU at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Mary Ann also got her TCRG and has been teaching with her sister Noreen for over 20 years. She has produced both team and solo champions, who have competed at the highest level. Even though she loved being a nurse, her passion is Irish dancing.
